Rescued Nepali girls handed over to NGO
PATNA: Madhubani district magistrate Atish Chandra on Wednesday handed over five Nepalese minor girls to a Nepal-based NGO - Maiti in order to rehabilitate them. All these five minor girls were recently rescued by a local NGO Gram Vikas Parishad (GVP) from the clutches of the proprietors of a Kolkata based Western circus for violating the Child Labour Act.
The circus owner had neither been following the rules and regulations of the Act nor allowing the girls to go their home.
